  • Overview

    Behavior Therapists will work as a team of providers as part of our Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) team. EIDBI services provide medically necessary treatment to people under the age of 21 on Medical Assistance (MA) with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions.

    Pay Hourly, $19.25-$22.25 per hour

    Responsibilities

    Behavior therapists provide direct client care through the application of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). These interventions target the functional skills and core domains of people with ASD and related conditions using the principals of learning and behavior by:

    • Providing intervention services determind in the comprehensive multi-disciplinary evaluation (CMDE) and identified in the person’s individual treatment plan.
    • Participating in monitoring the person’s progress on goals and objectives and treatment outcomes. 
    • Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside
      professionals, and other providers.
    • Receiving required clinical supervision and intervention observation and direction as identified in the person’s ITP.

     

    *To accomodate the schedules of the families we serve, evenings and weekends may be required for this position.

     

    Qualifications

    Behavior Therapists must meet one of the following qualifications. If your qualification is based all or in part on work experience, include the employer, total work hours (estimated), and type of clients served on your application or resume. Proof of experience is required during the screening process. Group-home experience does qualify.

    • Master’s Degree in one of the behavioral arts and sciences; or
    • Bachelor’s Degree and experience: A Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral arts and sciences and one year of full-time (2000 hours) of clinically supervised delivery mental health services; or
    • GED + three years of full-time (6000 hours) clinically supervised delivery mental health services.
    • Experience working with children is required

    *For adult mental health services, behavioral arts and sciences includes social work and psychology. Related fields include nursing, occupational therapy, rehabilitation and vocational rehabilitation. Other acceptable related fields must include 30 semester college credits in the following core class areas: human services, psychology, social work and rehabilitation. A valid transcript is required to demonstrate the practitioner has the required qualifications.
